Granth Sahib of Garib Das Ji Maharaj
Garib Das Ji Maharaj is considered the founder saint of Garib Das Panth. God Kabir in 1727 CE had come from Satlok (Eternal Place) and met Garib Das Ji Maharaj who was at that time a 10 year old child. God Kabir took Garib Das Ji to Satlok to show him around and then left him back on earth. During that time, Garib Das Ji Maharaj was acquainted with core knowledge (tatvagyan). On returning to earth, Garibdas Ji Maharaj narrated the whole knowledge about the creation, origin of universe, purpose of human life, way of doing perfect worship, position of all Gods, knowledge about major religions etc. in form of prose which was bound into a scripture. That scripture is called Amar Granth Sahib or the Sat Granth Sahib.
The entire scripture was narrated by Sant Garib Das Ji to his disciple Gopal Das who wrote it. It took 6 months to complete. The scripture has around 1000 pages. It is a highly revered scripture in the Garib Das Panth.
The spiritual teachings and hymns associated with Garib Das Ji are often referred to as "Bani Garib Das Ji".
